  1. Heritage

    Pagewood has no heritage conservation area, but 5 places are listed as heritage items. If your house is one, a deck can need approval it otherwise wouldn't, so we check the listing first.

  2. Approval

    Many decks in NSW are exempt development when they meet the height, size and setback limits. We tell you at the measure whether yours does; if it doesn't, approval comes from Bayside Council or a registered certifier.
